Bruton welcomes Glass Lewis investment in Limerick

Jobs Minister Richard Bruton today welcomed the announcement that Glass, Lewis & Co., a leading independent governance services firm, is opening its newest office located in Limerick with the support of IDA Ireland. The new office, the fifth in Glass Lewis’ global network, will focus primarily on serving institutional investors throughout Europe.

Welcoming the announcement Minister Bruton said:

If we are to find our way out of our jobs crisis, we must build with determination on our established strengths as an economy. A key strength in recent years has been our ability to attract international operations centres for companies in a range of sectors, including financial services. Since taking office I have worked closely with the agencies of my Department to ensure that we build on these strengths to create the greatest possible number of jobs.

I commend the IDA on this addition to the list of companies establishing operations in Ireland, and on the very welcome jobs it will create in Limerick
