Jobs Minister Richard Bruton today announced that Worldwide TechServices, a leading Global provider of information technology solutions, is to establish a European Head Quarters in Limerick with the creation of 62 new high quality jobs. The investment is supported by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through IDA Ireland.

WWTS provides custom infrastructure and managed service solutions for a variety of technologies and customers in the IT market across 82 countries today. The Planned Solution centre in Limerick will support Operations and Sales activities across EMEA.

Making the announcement, Minister Bruton said:

Since we came to office over 5,000 additional jobs have been created in the ICT sector. Today’s announcement that Worldwide TechServices is establishing a major operation in Limerick with the creation of over 60 jobs is a further indication of what is possible in this sector. This is great news for Limerick and the Mid -West, and I am determined to build on this to attract more investments to Ireland and create the jobs we need.

Barry O’Leary, CEO of IDA Ireland said:

WWTS has a growing customer base and many high profile customers operating in global markets. Dell, HP, Sony, Canon and Apple are just some of the company’s customers. This is an excellent win for Limerick and the mid-west region and I would like to offer the on-going support of IDA Ireland as WWTS develops its Irish operation.
