The theme for the Government’s presence is “Your Government, Your Community”. Staff and volunteers from Departments and organisations will be on hand to answer queries and provide information on a wide variety of services and supports for farming, training, environmental and other needs. A variety of events will also take place such as library readings and Irish Water Safety Demonstrations.

This year, there will also be a central Government of Ireland marquee in place, to support Departments and State Agencies in connecting with visitors to the National Ploughing Championships 2018. A series of panel discussions and talks will be held over the three days with participation from Government and State Agencies covering a range of topics such as Brexit, the agricultural economy, investment in rural Ireland and supporting communities and sustainable growth in rural Ireland.

People can submit questions and concerns for these discussions in advance by following @merrionstreet on Twitter.
