Taoiseach and Minister Harris speak to Northern Irish counterparts regarding Coronavirus

An Taoiseach, Leo Varadkar, and Minister for Health Simon Harris held a conference call with their counterparts in Northern Ireland this afternoon regarding the Coronavirus.

The Taoiseach and Minister Harris joined Ireland's Deputy Chief Medical Officer to speak to Northern Ireland's First Minister Arlene Foster, deputy First Minister Michelle O'Neill, Health Minister Robin Swann, and the NI Chief Medical Officer.

They discussed the situation regarding the virus on the island of Ireland, and also internationally, and noted the good cooperation in place between authorities North and South.

All agreed to continue with their close cooperation and to remain in close contact in the period ahead.
