The Minister for Media, Tourism, Arts, Culture, Sport and the Gaeltacht, Catherine Martin T.D., announced today that funding of €169,740 has been approved for the Irish Museum of Modern Art for the purchase of a new Collections Management System.

Speaking today Minister Martin said: “Art and culture are an integral part of the human experience, particularly in these difficult times.  I am delighted to announce this additional funding that will assist IMMA to enhance its digital strategy as a means of enhancing access to the collections beyond the galleries themselves.”

The Irish Museum of Modern Art is the home of the national collection of modern and contemporary art and provides an extraordinary space where contemporary life and contemporary art connect, challenge and inspire one another.

The Irish Museum of Modern Art is to receive a grant of €169,740 to improve its technical infrastructure by investing in a new Collections Management System. This project will be a key part of the Museum’s digital strategy.
