Minister Donohoe wishes to extend his sympathy to the family and friends of the late David Doyle

The Minister for Finance and Public Expenditure & Reform, Paschal Donohoe TD, wishes to extend his sympathy to the family and friends of the late David Doyle, former Secretary General of the Department of Finance.

 

Speaking following the announcement of Mr Doyle’s passing, the Minister said “David Doyle had a long and distinguished career in the public service. A native of County Meath, his civil service career began in the Department of Education in 1972, having worked in the private sector for five years with Texaco. David joined the Department of Finance in 1975. He spent much of his career in the Public Expenditure division but also worked in the Budget & Economic division and the Finance division. He was appointed Secretary General in 2006 and retired in 2010. I wish to extend my sympathy to his family and friends.”
