This week the inaugural European Finance Forum took place in Dublin, welcoming over 600 senior corporate and policy decision makers from the US, Asia and from across the EU. The Forum provided an opportunity to open the year with discussion and debate on the current and future challenges facing the sector.

The Forum is a key Action in Government's IFS2020 strategy, which aims to create 10,000 jobs in the next five years. Another action in the strategy is the creation of a banner brand to further promote the industry. You can check out the new brand - IFS Ireland - which went live this week on IFS Ireland's website.

This week also saw the launch of IFS 2020 progress report for Q4 2015, which showed that 2,600 jobs were created in the Irish IFS industry in 2015.

To coincide with this week's European Financial Forum, #allaboutjobs has put together some key stats about Ireland's IFS industry.
