2016 got off to a good start with 5,125 new jobs announced in the month of January.

Among the companies announcing new jobs were Dublin Airport Authority, which plans to recruit 350 staff to accommodate growing passenger numbers, Credit Suisse and Equifax who last week both announced the creation of 100 new jobs each, and Accenture which is to create 250 new jobs by August 2016.

800 new jobs in Nua Healthcare in Munster

Nua Healthcare is a private care service provider for individuals with intellectual disabilities. The company announced plans to create 800 jobs over the next three years through the planned development of new residential and day care facilities. 300 of the positions are to be delivered in 2016.

Nua Healthcare was established in 2004 by a group of experienced social care professionals working in community outreach services for people with intellectual disabilities, autism and significant challenging behaviours.

500 new jobs at TTM Healthcare nationwide

TTM Healthcare is a specialist recruitment company which focuses on recruiting staff in the healthcare industry. The company plans to create 500 new jobs over the next five years, with roles mainly for nursing professionals, social care professionals and allied health professionals.

TTM is headquartered in Ennis, Co. Clare, with offices in Dublin, Cork, the UK, Poland and Germany. The jobs announcement came following investment in the company by Irish private investment company Broadlake, which will see it acquire a 30% stake in the business.

500 new jobs at ADI Engineering in Dublin, Cork & Waterford

Engineering solutions company ADI, who has offices in Dublin, Cork and Waterford, plans to create 500 new jobs by 2020.

The company provides total engineering solutions to clients including a number of major global clients and has significant operations in the UK and Ireland.

450 new jobs at Oracle in Dublin

Oracle last month announced 450 new jobs in Dublin as part of European-wide expansion. The company also opened new state-of-the-art offices in Dublin to accommodate its growth. 

This expansion will see 450 sales jobs being created, and Oracle is keen to draw recruits with a range of experience from across the EMEA region, from highly motivated sales professionals with two to three years’ experience to highly experienced senior sales professionals.

300 new jobs in Tipperary at First Data

Global commerce solutions company is to create 300 new jobs by 2017 at a new R&D centre in Nenagh, its first Irish office outside Dublin. First Data currently employs approximately 300 workers in two separate facilities in Dublin.

Among the anticipated work at the new R&D centre in Nenagh will be application/software development, application analysis, business analysis, technical project management, systems consulting, and enterprise architecture.
