Arts Minister Jimmy Deenihan today attended a commemoration ceremony to mark the centenary of the foundation of Cumann na mBan. The Minister laid a wreath at the grave of prominent Cumann na mBan member, Elizabeth O’Farrell.
The Minister laid a wreath at the grave of Elizabeth O' Farrell and Julia Grenan, both founding members of Cumann na mBan. They were greeted by a Captains Courtesy Guard of Honor which contained female members of the Irish Defence Forces.
