Taoiseach announces Dell Cloud Computing Centre

Taoiseach Enda Kenny today announced Cloud Computing research and development investments by Dell. Dublin will be home to Dell's first Cloud Research and Development Centre, while Limerick will host the company's first Dell Solution Centre.

Ireland has become a focal point of global information technology development, and Dell's decision to locate new strategic resources in Ireland will help us to realise our ambition of becoming a centre of excellence for Cloud. The calibre of Dell people and the nature of their work in Ireland are consistent with our ambition to be a knowledge-driven economy. We are very pleased to see continued momentum in this direction, especially the creation of new jobs in this vital sector of our economy.
