Following his meeting this morning with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, Taoiseach Enda Kenny this afternoon met with Austrian Chancellor Faymann in Vienna as part of his ongoing engagement with EU heads of Governemnt in advance of ireland's assuming the EU Presidency in January 2013.

The Taoiseach’s discussions with Prime Minister Orban and Chancellor Faymann focused on Irish EU Presidency priorities, bilateral issues and broader EU matters.

The Taoiseach will later attend a ceremony in Berlin, hosted by the German Magazine Publishers Association, where he will be presented with the European of the Year award.
