Taoiseach chairs meeting of North South Ministerial Council

Taoiseach Enda Kenny today chaired the fourteenth plenary meeting of the North South Ministerial Council (NSMC) in Farmleigh House in the Phoenix Park.

The Taoiseach led the members of his Cabinet who will be meeting collectively with the Northern Ireland Executive.  First Minister Peter Robinson and deputy First Minister Martin McGuinness led the Northern delegation.

A range of issues were discussed at the meeting, including Ireland's upcoming presidency of the EU, progress on the A5 and A8 road projects, and third level education.
