The British-Irish Council (BIC) held its 33rd Summit meeting today hosted by the Irish Government. The heads of delegation were welcomed to Dublin by An Taoiseach Leo Varadkar TD. A full list of Ministerial participants is attached.

Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture, Food & the Marine, Andrew Doyle T.D., today launched the Forestry Ambassador Programme in Avondale Community College, Rathdrum, as part of Science Week 2019.

I welcome today’s decision by the European Commission to grant state aid approval to the National Broadband Plan.

Minister urges communities across the country to get involved with the programme

The Minister for Justice and Equality, Charlie Flanagan T.D., has extended his very best wishes to Ken Bloomfield, who announced his departure from the Independent Commission for the Location of Victims (ICLVR) today.

While the full judgement will need to be studied in its entirety over the coming days, I very much welcome today’s decision of the Court of Appeal with regard to citizenship applications.
