APPOINTMENT OF NEW DEPUTY CHIEF OF STAFF (SUPPORT) OF THE DEFENCE FORCES
The Minister with Responsibility for Defence, Mr. Paul Kehoe T.D.,is pleased to announce the appointment of Brigadier General Seán Clancy to the position of Deputy Chief of Staff (Support) of the Defence Forces with effect from 3rd April, 2019. The Cabinet approved the appointment at its meeting today 20th March. Brigadier General Clancy will be promoted to the rank of Major General on assuming his appointment.
Speaking of the appointment Minister Kehoe said “I wish Brigadier General Clancy every continued success and I know he will make a significant contribution to the Defence Forces in his new role as Deputy Chief of Staff (Support). I look forward to working closely with him in the future”.
