Grant of up to €13,200 approved by Minister of State Kyne for the committee of Páirc an Chathánaigh to buy a lawnmower to keep the pitch freshly cut

It was announced today, 12 December, by T.D., Government Chief Whip and Minister of State for the Irish language, the Gaeltacht and the Islands, Seán Kyne, that a grant of up to €13,200, or 80% of the overall cost, whichever is lower, has been approved by him for the committee of Páirc an Chathánaigh in Ceathrú Rua, Co. Galway, to buy a new lawnmower to keep the pitch freshly cut.
‘‘It is my great pleasure to announce the approval of funding for this active committee,’’ said Minister of State Kyne. ‘‘Páirc an Chathánaigh has excellent sports facilities, which are available for all the local clubs and schools. I hope that this funding helps them keep the pitch in good condition.’’
This grant has been approved in accordance with provisions in the Community and Language Support Support Programme, under Action 2.22 of the Government’s Action Plan 2018-2022 for the Irish language, launched in June 2018.
