Minister of State at the Department of Communications, Climate Action and Environment, Sean Canney T.D., recently appointed Mr. Seamus Boland, Mr. Michael McGreal and Ms. Marie Louise Heffernan to the Board of Inland Fisheries Ireland (IFI).

In welcoming these appointments Minister of State Canney said

these successful candidates will bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the Board of IFI, Mr. Boland and Mr. McGreal particularly in the areas of corporate governance and organisational development and change management and Ms. Heffernan in the areas of environmental and biodiversity matters.  I wish them well in their respective roles as board members.

These appointments were made pursuant to Section 12 of the Inland Fisheries Act 2010 and in accordance with the Guidelines on Appointments to State Boards.
