Minister Sherlock congratulates Cork winners of EU Contest for Young Scientists

The Minister for Research and Innovation Seán Sherlock, TD today [Wednesday] welcomed the announcement that three students from Kinsale Community School in Cork have won the European Union Contest for Young Scientists in Prague.

“The three young Kinsale students who have just won first prize in the European Union Contest for Young Scientists in Prague have done themselves and their wider community very proud. It is a tremendous achievement for Emer Hickey, Ciara Judge and Sophie Healy-Thow from Kinsale Community School in Cork. Their success builds on their achievement earlier this year at the BT Young Scientist & Technology Exhibition in Dublin. It is great to see our young students doing so well at international level. I have no doubt a promising career lies ahead for these students.”
