Local Enterprise Office Offaly last week opened a new business innovation centre, called The Junction. The multi-functional space provides hot desk facilities, office space, business training and mentoring, and facilities for people to develop ideas and business.
Visitors to The Junction at the official opening saw, at first hand the benefits of working in a collaborative way. Tenants including Design Hub Collaborative and Future Ticketing Ltd, met with business owners and guests and talked through the projects they are working on.
Orla Martin, Head of Enterprise at LEO Offaly, reminded people that The Junction is not just for start-ups. Tenants like Design Hub Collaborative can work with existing businesses to develop new products. Alternatively, employees of existing companies can use the hot desk facilities in The Junction on a one day a week basis, and use that time to focus on new product development.
