Statement by Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Charlie Flanagan T.D., on attacks on Coptic Church in Egypt
"I learned with deep sadness of two attacks today on Coptic Churches in northern Egypt, which have killed more than 20 people and injured dozens more. I offer my sincere condolences to those killed and injured and their loved ones.
"I condemn the attacks and those responsible. These attacks come just as the Church begins the Easter, a special time for the Coptic and other Christian churches.
"There can be no justification or purpose for such horrendous acts of violence."
