Minister for Trade and Development, Joe Costello, today welcomed the appointment of Barry Andrews as Chief Executive Officer of Goal.

“I wish to warmly congratulate Barry Andrews on his appointment as CEO of Goal. Having served with Barry in Dáil Eireann, I know he will bring great commitment and enthusiasm to the role. His wide-ranging experience of policy, public service and law will stand him in good stead in the challenging times ahead,” Minister Costello said.

“Irish Aid has had a strong relationship over the years with Goal. The Government has supported the life-saving work of Goal’s staff and volunteers in the developing world, both in responding to humanitarian disasters and in assisting vulnerable communities to rebuild their lives in the longer term.

“I very much look forward to working with Barry and his colleagues to continue this important work.”
