400 jobs on offer at Wexford employment fair starting today - Burton

Social Protection Minister Joan Burton will today visit the Wexford Employment and Advice fair, which takes place today and tomorrow in the Wexford Opera House.

The event is aimed at Irish and EU workers looking for jobs locally and throughout Europe.

Speaking about the Fair, Minister Burton said:

I am delighted that over 400 jobs will be available at the Fair from local, national and international companies. Zurich Insurance PLC, Datapac Ltd, Quest Software, Aldi and Comfort Keepers are just some of the companies attending and recruiting for job vacancies in Ireland particularly in the Wexford area. There will also be a CV clinic as well as agencies offering advice in a variety of areas such as business start-up, taxation, training and education.

Jobs are available across a broad spectrum of areas such as Sales, Technical Support, Finance, Store Managers, Assistant Store Managers, Contact Centre Sales/Service Roles, IT Support, Food and Beverage staff, Housekeeping staff, Homecare Assistants and Tutors for Adult Education Programmes.

In addition, there will be a number of companies and agencies from other countries, including Czech Republic, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway, Poland, Sweden, Romania and the United Kingdom to advise their own nationals and Irish people who are interested in employment and career development options abroad in Construction, IT and Healthcare.
