Grant Thornton Ireland to employ 50  people nationally this year - 15 in Galway over three years

Taoiseach Enda Kenny today officially opened Grant Thornton's new offices in Galway city.

Speaking at the opening, the Taoiseach said:

I greatly welcome today’s opening of a new office in Galway by Grant Thornton, both in terms of the jobs it has and will create, but also for the confidence the firm is showing in its national offering and also in the West.

Through the Action Plan for Jobs the Government continues to rebuild confidence in Ireland and companies such as Grant Thornton help businesses, large and small, national and international to drive our economic growth and recovery.

Paul McCann, Managing Partner of Grant Thornton Ireland, said:

We are both delighted and honoured to be opening our new premises here in Galway.

In the past decade Grant Thornton has grown from 50 staff to over 400 staff across the country. Our growth continues with plans in each of the next three years to recruit each year approximately 50 staff nationwide; and at least 15 people for our Galway office over next three years to meet local demand for our specialist services.
