Minister Flanagan expresses shock and deep dismay at Derry bomb

The Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade, Charlie Flanagan T.D., tonight expressed his shock and deep dismay at the bomb in Culmore, Derry, which endangered lives and has put twelve families out of their homes. The bomb was found outside the home of a serving PSNI officer.

Minister Flanagan said:
‘"I was shocked and appalled to hear that a bomb exploded on a street in Derry today and has now forced twelve families to leave their homes tonight.

"This was a reckless and criminal attack, which put an entire street in danger. There is no excuse, no justification, for such irresponsible criminality.

"I am thankful that no one was hurt today. My thoughts are with all those affected, in particular the PSNI officer and his family.

"I am calling on anyone with any information to immediately report it to the police."
