Minister for public and commuter transport applauds public transport operators for helping to keep Ireland moving during this week's successful State visit

Local Minister Alan Kelly TD today welcomed Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip to the Rock of Cashel, Co. Tipperary.  The Queen and the Prince were visiting Cashel as part of the concluding day of a 4-day visit to Ireland which commenced earlier this week.

Speaking today, Minister Kelly said: “This royal visit is hugely significant for Ireland and I am confident that our country will benefit enormously from the positive publicity associated with it. During the past four days, the Royal couple have seen many of Ireland’s most beautiful and significant sites and what better place to visit on a final day in Ireland than Cashel, the most visited heritage site in Ireland?"
