Minister Deenihan attends “Made in Israel: Film and Television Week” at Cineworld, Parnell Street, Dublin 1

Wednesday 4th December 2013: Jimmy Deenihan TD, Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, will this evening attend the launch of “Made in Israel: Film and Television Week” at Cineworld, Parnell Street, Dublin 1.

The “Made in Israel: Film and TV Week” is taking place from 4th - 10th December 2013, and is an initiative of the Embassy of Israel in Ireland. This event showcases Israeli cinema and television, and is free of charge and open to the public.

Minister Deenihan commented: "Last year, I understand there were seven festivals celebrating Irish cinema in Israel. Our film and television sector is an important part of Ireland's jobs and tourism strategy, and encouraging this sector to grow is very important. I hope that this Film and Television week can foster not only greater cultural engagement between Ireland and Israel, but also closer working relationships and economic cooperation in film."
