Minister Deenihan attends the Irish Premiere of the Gala Screening of 'Ek Tha Tiger' at the Irish Film Institute

Jimmy Deenihan TD Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht today, Wednesday 15 August, 2012 will attend the Gala screening of Ek Tha Tiger, a Bollywood blockbuster in the Irish Film Institute, Temple Bar, Dublin.

Speaking in advance Minister Deenihan said "in shooting this film an abundance of Dublin locations were used for spectacular dance sequences and stunts - Trinity College, IMMA, the Shelbourne Hotel, Temple Bar and St Stephen’s Green all feature. It will now be distributed to over 20 countries bringing images of Ireland and Dublin from the big screen across the globe."

The Irish Film Board (IFB) promotes Ireland internationally as a film location, with the aim of attracting inward investment into the Irish film industry, and creating employment for Irish cast and crew. "This production contributed €1.5 million to the Irish economy and created over 1,000 short-term jobs, with many Irish cast and crew involved in the shoot" added Minister Deenihan.
