Minister of State for the Gaeltacht, Dinny McGinley T.D., has announced that he has sanctioned an allocation of €105,600 for An Gaelacadamh in An Spidéal towards the operational costs associated with a range of specific measures under the remit of the organisation which support the promotion of music, dance and song in the Gaeltacht.

Announcing the grant, the Minister of State said that he is delighted to be able to provide this assistance to An Gaelacadamh for the excellent work they do in encouraging young people to remain true to their heritage. "An Gaelacadamh has a central and continuing role in the promotion of the indigenous music of the Gaeltacht and we are indebted to them and to the teachers employed by them as there is clearly a valuable outcome to their work," the Minister of State said.
