Minister Howlin welcomes major refurbishment of the National Gallery and the creation of 300 construction jobs.

Mr. Brendan Howlin, T.D., Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform has welcomed the announcement by his colleague Mr. Jimmy Deenihan, Minister for Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht that a major refurbishment of the National Gallery of Ireland is to go ahead with the creation of 300 construction jobs between 2013 and 2015.

Minister Howlin is delighted to have been able to facilitate the project and is particularly happy that the National Gallery will be fully reopened in pristine condition in time for the 1916 centenary.
