Minister Quinn Launches the Little Museum of Dublins 2012 - 2013 Programme

Education Minister Ruairi Quinn today launched the Little Museum of Dublin's new programme for 2012 - 2013.

The programme will include free civics classes for schoolchildren, the history of Dublin through the Polish language and a celebration of Bram Stoker. In addition, admission to the museum will now be free on Wednesday afternoons.

The Little Museum of Dublin tells the story of Ireland’s capital city in the 20th Century.

The non-profit museum was formally opened by the Lord Mayor of Dublin, Councillor Andrew Montague, in October 2011. The collection boasts over 400 artefacts, reflecting the generosity of ordinary Dubliners, as well as many cultural institutions and local luminaries.
