Minister Madigan launches "What's She Doing Here?" at the Little Museum of Dublin

The Minister for Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, Josepha Madigan TD, today (Saturday, 31st March) officially launched the exhibition "What's She Doing Here?" at the Little Museum of Dublin, 15 St Stephen's Green, Dublin 2. The exhibition celebrates courageous females in history and the inspirational women of today who work in traditionally male-dominated industries. "What's She Doing Here?" includes photographs of women at work by Beta Bajgartova, beautiful illustrations of System-Rockers in Irish history, films about the women profiled and audio recordings. The exhibition runs from March 31st to June 10th 2018.

Speaking today Minister Madigan said: What's She Doing Here? at the Little Museum of Dublin is a fitting tribute to the many women that have helped shape our country and to the many women today that are still fighting for gender equality. I would encourage people to go visit the exhibition and view the beautiful photographs and illustrations depicting the strong women of Ireland past and present".

Minister Madigan continued: "I was delighted to be able to provide funding of €50,000 to the museum this year and I wish it every continued success in the future. I have no doubt it will continue to grow from strength to strength".
