Ministers welcome court ruling in Wicklow Way case
The Minister for Arts, Heritage, Regional, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs, Heather Humphreys TD, and Minister of State for Regional Development, Michael Ring TD, have today (Friday) welcomed the High Court’s decision to overturn the decision to award a hillwalker €40,000 in damages for injuries sustained after a fall on the Wicklow Way.
The Minister and their officials will now take time to consider the details of Justice White’s ruling and its future implications for our National Parks and their recreational remit.
It would be inappropriate to comment further until such deliberations have taken place.
