Taoiseach Enda Kenny, Tánaiste Eamon Gilmore and Jobs Minister Richard Bruton today announced that four companies are establishing new operations in Cork and Dublin with the creation of a total of 83 new jobs.

The companies were introduced to Ireland through ConnectIreland, the company responsible for delivering the Government’s Succeed in Ireland initiative,the announcement was made today at the third Global Irish Economic Forum in Dublin Castle, Taoiseach Enda Kenny said:

I am delighted to welcome these 83 new jobs in Cork and Dublin. I am particularly pleased that they have come through the 'Succeed in Ireland' initiative in the Action Plan for Jobs. This has brought a really new approach to foreign direct investment as it helps attract different types of companies that might have escaped the attention of Irish agencies.

The companies are:

  • Sound & Sea Technologies announces 55 new jobs for European HQ in Ringaskiddy, Co. Cork
  • IA Innovation sets up European Operations in Dublin creating 12 jobs
  • SMI establishes in Dublin with plans to create 10 jobs
  • The Bayne Law Group creates 6 jobs in Support Centre in Cork City
