Finance Minister Michael Noonan today announced that Capita, a leading business process outsourcing and professional services company, is to create 800 new jobs in Dublin. The Minister made the announcement as he officially opened Capita's new Dublin office.

Welcoming the announcement the Minister said:

I am very pleased to welcome Capita’s ambitious plans to double their workforce to 1,600 in Ireland over the next three years and to officially open Capita’s new offices in Grand Canal Square in Dublin. The scale and ambition of the company’s investment in Ireland, and the announcement of their plans to employ 800 more people over the next three years, is a major vote of confidence in Ireland. This announcement highlights the progress that is being made in restoring confidence and attracting investment and jobs into Ireland. I would like to wish Robbie Hughes and all his team every success in the years ahead as Capita continues to grow and prosper in Ireland.

Robbie Hughes, Capita’s country manager said:

This is a significant investment for Capita and underlines our confidence in Ireland as a place to do business. Capita now has more than 800 employees and today confirms its aspiration to double that headcount over the next three years. The new office allows us to consolidate a number of business units in one location, as well as providing room for future growth.

Capita provides a wide range of services to clients across both the public and private sectors in Ireland including: centralised back and middle office services; asset management; loan administration and asset recovery; corporate services; share registration and fund administration. In addition, the life and pensions team provides policy administration, claims and underwriting services.
