Making today’s announcement Minister Bruton said

“LinkedIn is an excellent addition to the thriving digital media industry operating from Ireland. The creation of 100 jobs by a leading global internet company across a wide range of business functions is very welcome indeed and will provide employment opportunities for highly skilled staff in an exciting and innovative business.”

Connie Gibney, international human resources director at LinkedIn described Ireland as "increasingly one of the world’s centres of talented people with international language skills and experience in working for fast-growing internet companies. This makes it the ideal place from which to support our continuing growth in Europe and further abroad.”

One million new members now join LinkedIn every week.  LinkedIn hit 20 million users in Europe in December 2010 and announced 100 million members worldwide last week.  LinkedIn’s Dublin offices are located at Sir John Rogerson’s Quay.
