Irish IT Company opensky announces 30 New Jobs over the next 18 months – Minister Bruton

Irish IT company opensky data systems, an innovative Irish IT Company headquartered in Naas, Co. Kildare continues to expand as it announces the creation of 30 new jobs over the next 18 months. In effect these additional jobs will now almost double the company’s current number of employees of 50, bringing the total to 80. This major development will provide opportunities for Software Developers, Project Managers, Support, Sales & Marketing and QA Personnel.

It follows opensky`s previous addition of 20 plus new staff members throughout 2012. The recruitment drive is expected to commence immediately. opensky has been supported in its development by the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through Enterprise Ireland. The company has announced these 30 new jobs to meet the demands of new business and predicted growth over the next two years. In addition opensky is accelerating its expansion into Irish and international markets.

Founded by college friends and IT specialists, Michael Cronin and William Flanagan in 2004, opensky, a major exporter, has extensive expertise,pioneering across a range of technologies and solutions. Key areas that opensky are involved in include big data management, business intelligence, IT consultancy and managed services for driving business performance, budgeting and planning solutions for large enterprises.

Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation Richard Bruton TD, welcomed the announcement saying: “opensky is an exciting Irish technology company which is innovating, exporting and creating jobs, and today’s announcement is very welcome. Irish companies like this with ambitious growth strategies are playing a critical part in getting this country back to work. The ICT sector, which we have specifically targeted through our Action Plan for Jobs, has added a total of more than 11,000 jobs since this Government took office and Irish companies are playing a key role in that.

I am determined to continue and build on the strong supports we have put in place so that we can see more growth from Irish ICT companies to help get the country back to work”.
