Minister Burton welcomes IBM plan to employ several hundred in Mulhuddart

Joan Burton TD, Minister for Social Protection, today (Friday May 18th, 2012), welcomed the announcement that IBM is to create several hundred new jobs, with the opening of a new Global Services Integration Hub, in Mulhuddart, Dublin 15.

“I am delighted that IBM has chosen Dublin West for this significant expansion. It is a great vote of confidence in the people of Dublin West, in IDA Ireland and in the government’s jobs strategy.’’ she said.

IBM Ireland currently employs in excess of 3,000 people in Ireland and its current business activities include research, software development and services at its technology campus in Mulhuddart, together with locations in Cork and Galway. A  European Sales and Services Support Centre is based in Blanchardstown, Dublin.
