Customer communications technology specialist adds new funding to a year

that has enjoyed continued sales growth and a major award win at the 2013

Network Computing Awards

VoiceSage, the company that enables automated real-time customer conversations, has today (Friday) announced that it is investing over €1m in a major R&D programme, with significant support from the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation through Enterprise Ireland. This latest round of funding will enable VoiceSage to respond to the growing market demand for its cloud-based customer communication technologies with further investment in a range of R&D activities. This is expected to generate 10 new technical and engineering jobs over the next 24 months in the Dublin office.

VoiceSage’s financial momentum was highlighted in February this year when it announced a record 32% growth in sales for the second half of 2012 and a steady stream of new household named clients investing in its award-winning technology.

In March the company announced that it had fought off stiff competition at the Network Computing Awards to be crowned Contact Centre Product of the Year – a prestigious industry award that recognises the penetration of VoiceSage’s cloud-based messaging product and services which deliver more than 2 million messages a day and are used by businesses serving more than 75% of the UK population.

Welcoming the announcement Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Richard Bruton TD said:  “Driving increased research and innovation in Irish companies is a priority for this Government and is at the heart of our jobs plan.  Today’s announcement that VoiceSage, a dynamic technology company, is to invest further in R&D with the creation of 10 jobs, is very welcome news. Companies like this are at the forefront in developing innovative new products and services with wide appeal across international markets, leading to export sales and increased employment. I am determined that with the right support from Government, we can see more companies like this starting up, expanding and creating the jobs we need”.

VoiceSage has a strong and growing track record with a series of major companies including Airtricity, SSE, Argos, Homebase, Littlewoods, Vanquis Bank, QVC and Eircom having deployed its technology to improve their customer communications over the last year. The retail sector continues to go from strength to strength where VoiceSage technology underpins most of the major UK & Ireland retailers seeking to increase appointments and deliveries, reduce debt and enable real time customer conversations.

Speaking of the investment, Jennifer Condon, Enterprise Ireland Head of International Services and Software, commented: “VoiceSage is a leading innovator in customer communication solutions.  They have already won an impressive client base and this investment will enable them to expand their business further.  Enterprise Ireland is delighted to support this innovative company”.

“We are delighted to have secured this funding and the confidence and backing of Enterprise Ireland,” commented Graham Brierton, CTO at VoiceSage. “We are certainly bucking economic trends and uniquely offering a quick to deploy technology that delivers fast and very realisable benefits to household named companies. This investment will allow us to accelerate our technology development to meet the growth that market analysts predict”.
