Minister Bruton pays tribute to Ann Fitzgerald, outgoing CEO of the NCA

The Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Richard Bruton TD, today (Monday) paid tribute to Ann Fitzgerald, Chief Executive of the National Consumer Agency, after she announced that she will not be renewing her contract and will be stepping down as CEO when her current contract expires this Wednesday, 17

"I would like to pay sincere tribute to Ann Fitzgerald for her dedicated service as CEO of the National Consumer Agency. She has been a strong advocate in the very important field of consumer rights for several years, holding positions including chair of the Consumer Strategy Group, Executive Chair of the interim Consumer Agency and then Chief Executive of the National Consumer Agency since 2007. I would like to thank her for her very hard work on this crucial issue for many years, and wish her every success in the future.
