Minister Quinn opens €670k extension at Scoil Bhríde, Ranelagh

The Minister for Education and Skills, Ruairí Quinn T.D., today officially opened the €670,000 extension at Scoil Bhríde in Ranelagh,Dublin6.

Scoil Bhríde has 390 pupils and is projecting an increase to 417 pupils this September. 

The extension consists of five additional classes and was completed in May.

Speaking at the school, the Minister said: "I’m delighted to be here to open this fantastic new building, which is a great addition to the facilities already available here”.

During his visit to Scoil Bhríde, Minister Quinn also raised the school's fourth Green Flag.

He praised the school for its involvement in the Green Schools Programme.

“I am delighted to hear that you have been awarded four Green Flags," he said.

"Involvement in such important initiatives fosters a strong sense of citizenship and leadership among pupils and staff and spreads far outside the school into the wider community."
