Minister Quinn welcomes position paper from Catholic Schools Partnership

Minister for Education and Skills, Ruairi Quinn TD welcomed today’s position paper from the Catholic Schools Partnership and its consultation process in relation to the patronage of primary schools.

The Forum on Patronage and Pluralism in the primary sector which I have established will be formally launched later this month.

It will allow the education stakeholders involved and the general public to have their say on which direction they would like to see policy evolve in this important area.  I believe today’s statement by the Catholic Schools Partnership will contribute to providing a platform for what I see is an essential and informative debate within the education agenda.
