Hogan announces a risk-based approach to the inspection of septic tanks
Environment Minister Phil Hogan today outlined the registration and inspection regime for septic tanks. The move addresses a ruling issued against Ireland by the European Court of Justice (ECJ) in October 2009. The detailed arrangements will be set out in legislation to be published shortly.
