The Status Red warning has now been extended nationally.
Defence Forces preparations are in hand to ensure that the Defence Forces can respond to requests for assistance from the Local Authorities and Primary Response Agencies.
I can confirm that the full resources of the Defence Forces will be made available to the Local Authorities and the Primary Response Agencies on request.
Public safety is our key concern tomorrow. This is also important for personnel, including defence Forces personnel, working on the response effort.
