Taoiseach to attend the Eastern Partnership Summit in Warsaw

The Taoiseach Enda Kenny, will travel to Warsaw tomorrow to attend the Eastern Partnership Summit which will take place on Thursday and Friday 29-30 September. The Eastern Partnership Initiative aims to enhance economic and political relations between the European Union and six neighbouring partners to the East (Ukraine, Moldova, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia & Belarus).

The Taoiseach will use the opportunity to meet with a number of counterparts from the European Union and from the Eastern Partnership.

He will also use the opportunity to brief on Ireland's approach to its upcoming Chairmanship in Office of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe, which starts in January 2012.
