Research and Innovation Minister Seán Sherlock is pictured chatting with Diarmuid Corry, Director, Curtiss-Wright on his visit to officially open the company’s new, expanded facility in Dublin, Ireland.

Research and Innovation Minister Seán Sherlock visited Curtiss-Wright Corporation today to officially open its new, expanded facility in Dublin, Ireland. The event highlighted the Company’s continued success and growth resulting from the Irish Government’s ongoing investment in the European Space Agency.

Through its membership of ESA, which is managed by Enterprise Ireland, the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation enables Irish research institutes and companies to participate in ESA programs and secure valuable contracts for technology developments that can be commercially exploited.

Speaking at the Opening Minister Sherlock said:

Curtiss-Wright’s success in the space market over the last five years exemplifies the value of the Irish Government’s investments in this industry. The company has commercialized and dramatically expanded its space market activities during that time, leveraging its unique and cost-effective COTS-based data acquisition technology into various commercial space programs, projects and technology developments. The result has been significant ongoing success and job creation.
