Minister Shatter Attends the Annual Defence Forces Carol Service 2013
Minister Shatter attended the Defence Forces Annual Carol Service 2013 on Wednesday 11th December at the Church of the Sacred Heart, Arbour Hill, Dublin.
For the first time ever it was live streamed to Irish Troops serving with the United Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) and with the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) in Syria. It was also available live to all Military Installations and Army barracks in Ireland including the Military compound in Portlaoise prison.
The service was presided over by the Defence Forces Head Chaplain, Monsignor Eoin Thynne. The Paradisum Choir from Newbridge Co Kildare were conducted by their Musical Director, Mr. Owen C. Lynch and accompanied by the Army No. 1 band conducted by Captain Fergal Carroll.
