Taoiseach Enda Kenny attends 9/11 Commemoration ceremony in Dublin
Taoiseach Enda Kenny today attended a "Ceremony of Reflection and Peace" to commemorate the 10 year anniversary of the events in New York on the 9th of September 2001.
The ceremony was hosted by the Embassy of the United States at the RDS in Dublin, and was also attended by President Mary MacAleese and the Ambassador of the United States to Ireland Mr Daniel M. Rooney.
The ceremony included speeches by President McAleese and Ambassador Rooney, a performance by the Irish Chamber Orchestra, reflections from members of the NYPD and the FDNY, and poems read by Mrs. Patricia Rooney and the Taoiseach.
