Getting Irish Business Online

On Monday 9th of May, Taoiseach Enda Kenny launched the "Getting Irish Business Online" initiative in the Google Ireland Headquarters.

The initiative is designed to encourage Irish businesses to develop an online presence. At present the use of the internet by Irish consumers greatly outweighs the presence of Irish businesses, but this initiative is designed to begin narrowing the gap.

"Getting Irish Business Online" is a joint programme developed by partners Google, An Post, Blacknight Internet Solutions and the National Network of County & City Enterprise Boards.

You can see MerrionStreet.ie's original post on the launch, including the Taoiseach's full speech, here.
