250 new technology jobs as Infosys expands Irish operation

Technology and consulting company Infosys have announced an expansion of their Irish operation, which will create 250 new jobs over the next three years.

Taoiseach Enda Kenny and Jobs Minister Richard Bruton announced the new jobs today. The Taoiseach noted the announcement was
"a vote of confidence in Ireland, our great workforce and our reputation as a hub for technology and innovation."

Established in India in 1981, Infosys will establish their first research & development centre outside India as part of their expansion in Ireland. The company will also open a second Irish facility to house up to 155 people who will provide IT services to Infosys clients.
The expansion sees the company double its employee base in Ireland.
