31st Dáil underway
THE 31st Dáil is now in session. Members will first elect a Ceann Comhairle - speaker of the house - and then will move to the election of a new Taoiseach.
The newly elected Taoiseach will then travel to Áras an Uachtaráin - the residence of the President of Ireland - where he will receive his seal of office.
Later the Dáil will reconvene where the make up of the 29th Government ministers will be announced.
