Taoiseach congratulates Aidan O'Brien
Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has offered his congratulations to Aidan O'Brien after he secured a new world record for the number of Group/Grade 1 winners in a calendar year.
Speaking today the Taoiseach said:
This is an incredible achievement for Aidan O'Brien and his team. With this world record, Aidan has once again rewritten the history books.
Securing 26 Group One wins in one year is an astonishing feat and I am sure everyone involved in the Irish horse racing industry will join me congratulating the team at Ballydoyle and Coolmore.
